How we compare ecommerce software
Store Platforms compares the software that runs an online store: selling platforms, marketing apps and the AI visibility tools that track how ChatGPT or Google AI Mode recommend products. Every page says what was compared, on which criteria, and on which date prices were checked.
What we look at
- The published price, checked on the vendor's own pricing page, with the date of the check.
- Fees that change the real cost for a merchant, such as transaction fees, paid apps or seats.
- The features a store of the size described actually needs, not the longest feature list.
- How long it takes to get started and who can run the tool day to day.
- Support, interface languages and where data is hosted when it matters for European merchants.
What we do not do
- We do not publish star ratings, invented scores or user reviews.
- We do not claim hands-on tests that were not run. When a page says compared, it means compared on public information and vendor documentation.
- No vendor mentioned on this site paid to appear or to be ranked.
Corrections and new tools
Prices and plans change often. If you spot an error, or if you build a tool that belongs in one of these comparisons, write to contact@storeplatforms.com with the page and the source. Corrections are dated on the page.
